We learn throughout our lives and it starts from the day we are born.

It is a gift, a joy and a fundamental human right.

But what if learning were hard because everything around you was loud, or strange or overwhelming? What if there was never a good time to safely bring your child or grandchild to watch Nathan the Lion flick his cheeky tail, or visit the awe-inspiring Giant Squid, or explore the many, many stories at the Museum that can empower children to become caretakers of our world?

For one in 70 people living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, a visit to a museum can be a hard, if not impossible, thing to do.

With your support, over the next year we would like to offer four Autism-friendly family mornings that will allow families the opportunity to visit the Museum each season. We would also like to develop 20 free-to-borrow sensory-friendly backpacks as well as free downloadable pre-visit materials such as a sensory friendly map.

Your support of:
• $30 will provide one pair of noise-cancelling ear muffs
• $50 will provide one set of sensory-friendly toys for calming kits
• $90 will provide one weighted lap bag
• $180 will provide one complete free-to-borrow sensory friendly backpack
• $200 will provide Sensory Friendly Guides to the Museum
• $540 will provide three complete free-to-borrow sensory friendly backpacks
• $2,000 will make possible one Autism-friendly family morning
